Bridging the World - The final of the 22nd "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition for International College Students in Thailand came to a successful conclusion

"The Chinese language is the bridge and the world is one family." Recently, the final of the 22nd "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition for World University Students in Thailand was successfully held in the Royal University of Xansunata. After a fierce competition, Zhang Yirong from Queen Mother University of Chiang Rai stood out and won the overall champion of the Chinese Language Competition for college students in Thailand, and will represent Thailand to participate in the global finals in China.

In the impromptu speech and question and answer session of the final on Sunday, 29 contestants focused on the core theme of "One World, One Family", and made wonderful speeches on such topics as "Belt and Road" to promote the common development of China and Thailand ", "Thai food is fragrant in China", "Learning Chinese is a golden key to understand China". In the talent show, the contestants sang melodious songs and danced gracefully.

Mr. Han Zhiqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Mr. Salang Vacharapai, Official of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of Thailand, and Mr. Lode Gweichai, President of the Council of the Royal University of Xuan Sunata, attended and addressed the closing ceremony. Ms. Wu Hang, a doctoral student in communication studies in Thailand who has been engaged in international communication ability work for years and is committed to telling Chinese stories well, and Ms. Du Fei, a doctoral student in education management of Southeast Asian University who is in the front line of international Chinese teaching, were invited to watch the competition as Chinese experts in Thai universities.

Han Zhiqiang said that Chinese is the most spoken language in the world and the main carrier of the ancient Chinese civilization, and Chinese education is more and more valued by countries around the world. Over the years, China-Thailand education cooperation has been at the forefront and maintained a strong momentum of development. After 22 years, "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition for College students has become a well-known brand of people-to-people exchanges between China and Thailand. It is hoped that the young people of China and Thailand will take the Chinese language as a bridge and work together to develop China-Thailand friendship.

Salang Vacharapai said that the Thai Ministry of Higher Education is committed to continuously promoting the development of students' language skills to promote Thailand as a "knowledge center", and Chinese as the world's most spoken language, is moving towards internationalization, so in order to be able to work and live abroad without obstacles, Chinese should also become a necessary language skills for teachers and students present. It is hoped that through such a platform as the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition, Thailand and China will further promote language and cultural exchanges and enhance mutual learning and promotion of the two civilizations.

It is reported that the "Chinese Bridge" competition is the most prestigious and influential Chinese language competition for Chinese learners in the world. Sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Thailand and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of Thailand, 116 students from 32 Thai universities and colleges were connected by Chinese characters, crossed mountains and oceans, and enthusiastically signed up to participate in the competition.

As a language that plays an important role in the world, Chinese plays an increasingly important role in international exchanges, business cooperation, cultural communication and so on. The close ties between Thailand and China have also promoted economic, political, diplomatic and other cooperation between the two countries, so there is an urgent demand for Chinese language talents.
