Bangkok, the vibrant city, attracts tourists from all over the world every year with its unique charm. During the Songkran Festival, Bangkok becomes the center of global attention. This ancient traditional festival, which has been recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, not only brings joy and blessings to the Thai people, but also presents a wonderful cultural feast and tourism carnival for tourists from all over the world.

On the morning of April 5, Southeast Asia University (SEAU) held its annual Songkran Festival on campus, where students from all over the world dressed in floral shirts and celebrated the festival in their own unique way.

With a history dating back to ancient Thailand, Songkran is an important festival that unites cultural heritage. Traditionally, Songkran marks the arrival of the Lunar New Year, when people gather to pray for a good harvest and happiness in the coming year. The festival is rich in symbolism, reflecting the Thai people's respect for the past and their hope for a better future. The Water Sprinkling Festival is one of the most representative celebrations of Songkran. People splash water on each other to dispel bad luck and welcome the New Year.

This activity symbolizes the beginning of purifying the soul, washing away misfortune and welcoming a new life. Families and merchants will set up food stalls for people to sample a variety of traditional Thai food and snacks. There will also be a variety of arts, crafts and festive souvenirs for sale at the market, providing visitors with a rich shopping experience.

For international students from all over the world, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience the charm of traditional Thai culture and to integrate into the joy and blessings of local people.
