Invitation to the founding meeting of the Chinese Alumni Association of Southeast Asian Universities

The year 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. On the ancient Silk Road, the sparks of different civilizations exchanged and collided with each other, shining brightly. Today, people, logistics and information flows across the five continents are interconnected along the new Silk Road featuring extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, enriching the meaning of a community with a shared future for mankind. It was mentioned at the meeting that China and Thailand are neighbors and linked by blood, and China-Thailand friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of the two peoples. We will continue to give "China and Thailand are one family" a new connotation of The Times, turn the advantages of our traditional friendship into a driving force for win-win cooperation in the new era, and promote the continuous development of China-Thailand friendly cooperation.

Experts in the China Economic Times report pointed out that talent is the foundation and key support for the construction of the "Belt and Road", and strengthening the construction of talent teams is an important guarantee for promoting the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road". Over the past decade, the successful implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative cannot be achieved without the strong support of international talents such as returnees. In the future, the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" also needs to better leverage the advantages of overseas returnees, students and other international talents, and targeted training of international talents in various fields and industries. At the same time, further promoting the development of international education is not only an important means of China's education opening to the outside world, but also an effective way for our country to cultivate talents and exert greater influence on the world stage.

Therefore, in order to meet the strategic needs of talent development of the "Belt and Road", the preparatory group of the Southeast Asian University of Thailand Alumni Association specially invites the online and offline alumni of the Southeast Asian University of Thailand to meet, hoping to promote the majority of Chinese youth communication, strengthen policy, industry dialogue, and jointly participate in and promote the development of the "Belt and Road" initiative.
