Loy Krathong Festival originated in Thailand's Sukhothai dynasty more than 800 years ago, is an ancient and highly romantic traditional festival in Thailand, held every year on the night of the full moon in November of the Gregorian calendar.

Every time, people will gather in the capital to celebrate the "Lantern Festival", the king and queen on the dragon boat swim river, and celebrate with the people, happy all night. According to legend, at that time, a princess folded a banana leaf into a lotus shaped lamp boat, inserted incense candles and lit it, and placed it on the river to float along the water to show respect for God and Buddha. So the local people followed suit and became a national festival in Xiangyan to this day.

Today, Loy Krathong events are held in Bangkok and other cities, shopping malls, universities, temples and restaurants, which means that you can attend any event anywhere on the night of the full moon to pray for the blessings of the water god.
